Hopi Ear Candles are designed in the shape of a long, narrow funnel with a filter which is located at the bottom end of the candle. The constituents used to make the candles are beeswax, honey extracts, sage and St John’s Wort. Once inserted into the ear comfortably and lit, they work in a similar way to a chimney. The impurities are drawn up to the surface by the airflow circulating in, around and out of the top of the candle. A mild suction occurs and the heat of the released, circulating vapours inside the ear, gently massages the eardrum. This action helps to regulate the pressure systems within the head including the sinuses. A facial massage is given before and after treatment.
